Our story, like many, begins with a dream...
Howard Gibbs-Hobgood & Sophie Skoggard
are the passionate co-creators of this burgeoning dream.
Howard, a raw-foodist of 22 years,
and Sophie, a fresh enthusiast after one year raw,
have both been deeply transformed by adopting a raw food lifestyle.
Our lives have become lighter, more vibrant, energized, and vital.
And we’re excited to share our secret…
Simply put, we are what we eat.
Life grows life.
The world is in an especially challenging time, in terms of
health, connection and the environment.
When one consumes foods that create inflammation and mucus
in the body (such as sugar, gluten, meat, dairy, alcohol,
caffeine and other processed foods), one overly taxes the body.
It takes tremendous energy to assimilate these foods,
and to fight off the inflammation they cause.
The immune system activates, in what is called Digestive Leukocytosis,
creating white blood cells,
as it recognizes cooked foods as toxic to the body.
This doesn't happen with raw food.
Surprisingly, we can adapt to the Standard American Diet (SAD),
but this compromise often results in emotional mood swings,
and over time, an increasing prevalence of chronic disease.
On the other hand, eating a diet rich in raw living foods
(fresh fruits, leaves, vegetables, nuts and seeds)
effectively and effortlessly grows the nutrition, vitality and energy within.
Cooking above 118° literally burns, destroying vitamins and enzymes,
resulting in foods depleted of many nutrients.
Eating food in its raw state maximizes our "investment" of
the energy spent digesting, for the energy we gain.
Most plant food takes 45 minutes to digest but if cooked, takes hours.
Our bodies know raw.
When one adopts a primarily raw diet consistently,
one experiences the body’s powerful innate healing ability
and a consistent natural high.
Raw living foods have nourished us and all animals
since the beginning of time.
We were once raw too, like all species.
We truly live on a raw planet. Always have.
And to care for this planet…
we must realize that with billions of people eating three meals a day,
our dietary choices profoundly impact the ecosphere.
Most people believe that to eat, one must kill.
However, a raw diet not only avoids killing, but nurtures life.
Consuming raw fruits spreads their seeds and grows new trees.
A raw diet requires far fewer fossil fuels, fewer appliances,
and produces the healthiest, most abundant compost, supporting plant life.
We know… this is a lot.
But it’s exactly why we’ve found the raw food diet
to be so profoundly life-changing.
And so we seek to create the most delicious living foods we can,
to encourage and inspire radical transformation.
We believe in spreading this message,
not to condemn anyone’s personal choice,
but to invite those seeking
personal growth to open the door to a vibrant new life.
This is the RawEvolution dream.

turning familiar comfort foods into truly healthful alternatives:
tasty cookie dough, sweet & savory pies, satisfyingly rich entrees.
These delicious, healing foods, make a sometimes difficult transition
to a healthier diet... a culinary adventure.
